Classes and walks

Group classes occur in Lakefield at the Team Fido Training Hall. Classes are a great opportunity to work in the group environment, find some community with your trouble butt.

Good dog walks are in Trent Hills.

Important note: I use exclusively positive reinforcement based training. Tools like shock, prong and choke collars will not be allowed in my classes. Questions? See why reinforce.

Beginner dog

Each class we will provide fun opportunities to learn new skills and refresh some that may need work. The focus will be on basic obedience and developing tools to help you take on common challenges like jumping and walking on leash.

Each class will include:

  • puzzles

  • obedience skills (sit, down, stand, come, leave it, look at me, touch, stay)

Puzzles, enrichment and trick training are an important part of this class as they support the overall training by challenging the brain and providing a source of focus. This is an ideal setting to work on getting your dog to focus on you in distracting environments.

Good dog walks
Do your leash walking skills need a boost? Does your dog get excited or nervous out on walks when seeing other dogs, bikes people etc.? Join me for a group walk and work on skills in our Trent Hills community. Each walk customized to how the dogs are feeling and responding that day. We practice skills to help loose leash walking, passing other dogs, and go for a nice walk in the community together together.

This is an on-leash only walk. No shock or prong collars please.

This is not a class for seriously reactive dogs, they need more space and 1:1 support first. See private training options for help.

Location will vary examples: Hastings Field house, Campbellford Kennedy park, and Norwood fair grounds and the Warkworth lilac trail.

Cost $20 per walk
